Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ARMARTRA OBISPO INC (“Armartra”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through barbcide.com and through reservation requests made there. It applies to that website only, not to third-party sites we may link to.
The short version. We ask for a name, phone number and email so we can confirm a table. We do not sell that information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we keep it only as long as we need it.
1. Who we are
ARMARTRA OBISPO INC
Website: barbcide.com
120 Tank Farm Road, Stall #5
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, United States
Phone: (878) 224-1352
Email: [email protected]
For the purposes of this policy, we are the business responsible for deciding how your information is used.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
When you complete the reservation form on this site, we collect:
- Your name;
- Your phone number;
- Your email address;
- The date, time and party size you are requesting;
- Anything you choose to write in the message field — for example allergies, dietary requirements or an occasion. Please share only what you are comfortable sending by email.
If you contact us by phone or email instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records limited technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the date and time of the request. We also record the IP address attached to a reservation request, which we use to limit automated spam submissions.
2.3 Information from cookies and similar technologies
See our Cookie Policy for the full detail on what is set, by whom and how to turn it off.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your reservation request — confirming the table, following up if we need to move a time, and noting any allergy or accessibility requirement so the kitchen and floor team are prepared.
- To respond to questions you send us about the menu, private dining or anything else.
- To keep the site working and secure — detecting spam submissions, diagnosing errors and preventing abuse.
- To understand how the site is used in aggregate, so we can improve it.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations where one applies.
We do not use your details for marketing emails unless you separately ask us to.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do share it, strictly as needed, with:
- Our web host and email provider, which process the form submission and deliver it to our inbox;
- Google, where analytics, advertising or the embedded map are in use on a page you visit — see the Cookie Policy;
- Professional advisers such as accountants or legal counsel, where they need it to advise us;
- Public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
5. Advertising
We may advertise this restaurant through Google Ads and similar networks. Those networks may use cookies or device identifiers to measure whether an ad led to a visit or a reservation request. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com, and more broadly at optout.aboutads.info.
6. How long we keep it
- Reservation requests: up to 24 months, so we can recognise returning guests and resolve any dispute about a booking;
- Email correspondence: up to 24 months from the last message;
- Server and spam-prevention logs: normally 12 months;
- Records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes: for the period required by law.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
7. How we protect it
Reservation data is transmitted over an encrypted connection, stored on access-controlled systems and made available only to the staff who need it to run the floor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do take it seriously, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information in a way the law requires us to report.
8. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
9. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with;
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions in the statute;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect any in the statutory sense;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. You will never get a worse table, a worse price or slower service for making a request.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or call (878) 224-1352. We will verify your identity using the details we already hold, and respond within 45 days — extended by a further 45 days where a request is complex, in which case we will tell you. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission.
10. Rights outside California
If you are in a jurisdiction with comparable rights of access, correction, deletion or portability, contact us at the address above and we will honour a valid request to the extent the applicable law requires.
11. Do Not Track
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no common industry standard for interpreting it, so this site does not respond to it. The controls in our Cookie Policy are the reliable route.
12. Links to other sites
Our pages may link to third-party sites — delivery partners, map providers, social platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing anything.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on this page for a reasonable period.
